dlivrd is a last-mile, white-glove delivery company that connects independent drivers with third-party catering, e-commerce, and on-demand delivery opportunities. The dlivrd team focuses on making every aspect of the “driver’s journey” — from recruitment to payments to job matching — as simple and personalized as possible.

However, dlivrd faces significant hurdles such as complex labor laws and driver perception that gig economy companies treat workers poorly. Historically, dlivrd had managed onboarding, payments, and compliance manually or by piecing together different software solutions. As the company continued to scale, it recognized the need to efficiently automate and, more importantly, humanize, the driver experience.

dlivrd began tackling these challenges by investing in their own tech-enabled logistics solution, dubbed “Frederick”, that matches drivers with jobs based on preferences and skills. Building on Frederick’s success, dlivrd partnered with GigSafe to deploy a contractor management platform built to quickly identify and rectify compliance risks.

GigSafe’s customizable implementation included automated onboarding & identity verification, payment processing features, and embedded insurance coverages focused on driver safety and third-party liability protections.

Collaborating with GigSafe, Dlivrd rolled out a plan to re-onboard existing drivers within a month and start paying them twice as fast.
